The Solution to the problem

These are ways that can answer the illiteracy problem in Fiji and other Pacific Islands. First way the question "can this problem be fixed?", the answer to that is YES! We ca fix this problem. It is only if the people and yourself decides that you can learn to read and write. Its your decisions! Another way is that, this porblem wasnt damaged that much. The problem with illiteracy wasnt that big of a topic. Illiteracy didnt have a lot of damge. This makes the little damage repairable. The next way we can fix illiteracy is, that each idividual can do these things. Things that can help illiteracy can be small things, like donating books, and writing supplies to charity. Even tutoring others who have trouble in reading and writing will be fine too. Also, the communitys can help solve this problem. They could help others in need, and teach them how to read and write, and also donate money or charity to buy new supplies for thoes in need. Community Charity drives can help too! Furthermore, the Pacific Islands can solve this problem by accepting these gifts (Charity) and putting them to good use. They could try to learn it and work on it untill they are good at it, then they could go teach others who dont know it. Another good thing is that we dont need to spend a lot of money on this! Little things like donating a used book can help a lot! Even volunterring is good too! Finally, once this problem is fixed, this can be prevented from happening again is by working together. Working together is important when it comes to these kind of problems. Team work is used a lot during these times when people need to learn a lot of new things. Illiteracy can be pervented from happening again if we all work hard together and learn, learn, LEARN! These are the ways we can solve the problem of illiteracy in the Pacific!
Remember, illiteracy is something we dont want, so lets work hard together to stop this problem. You could help in many ways, so lets get started!

The Affects of Illiteracy

There are many ways illiteracy can affect something or someone, these are some affects of illiteracy in Fiji. The first, affect of illiteracy in Fiji is the people who are affected. The whole community is affected by illiteracy becuase if there were many people who are illiterate in your community, then other communitys might think your community is really bad. If that happens, then there would probably, then that would lead to many fights, and that is very bad. The second affect is, why this is a problem. This is a problem becuase people who are illiterate cant find good jobs, cant make that mnuch money, and wont understand things in the future. If that happens then you would be in a lot of trouble. Another affect is that it only affects some parts of the Pacific. This affects other Pacific Islands becuase, normaly people tihnk one island is all most the same as another island, so if one island like Fiji who has an illiteracy problem, other people might think that Pacific Islands around or near Fiji are illiterate too. This causes fights between the Islands and other things. Next affect and thought is, if illiteracy didnt exist in the Pacific Islands how would life be? Well, life would be a lot better becuase you and others can move on into the right paths, and knowing a lot about things that would probably help the world! Another affect of illiteracy is, the problems that may occur in the future becuase of illiteracy. The problems that may occur in the future may be fights with other islands, nations, and even communitys. This is a big issue! We dont want thoes kind of things in the future! The next affect or thought is, how this problem on illiteracy changed my life. This doesnt really affect me personally, but when I think about it, is that it affects a whole lot of others. This issue made me and Cheyenne think of all the children and even adults who are illitarate. It was a really a bad thought, but now illiteracy is becoming less of a problem, so we dont worry that much. Finaly, the last affect or thought is how illiteracy changed. We have personally seen a lot of Pacific Islands improving their litteracy rates. We are happy to see that, but that means we are heading into a better future! These are some affects of illiteracy in Fiji and other Pacific Islands

Illiteracy is still a problem. These were the reasons why illiteracy can affect someone, or somethings in many diffrent ways!

Illiteracy Problems In Fiji

In Fiji, not to many people many people know how to read and write, this is a problem because without those simple techniques, you will be left behind in the future. One reason is, adult illiteracy rates from the age of 15 and older, were shown that most people cannot read or write, with understanding a simple statement in everyday life.If People cannot read or write, this will bring down their chance of learning modern things. This is one way illiteracy is a problem in Fiji.

Females in Fiji, are the most likely to not know how to read and write, this is just an example, but it reflects on everyone in Fijians on the path to the future. Another reason is, that the Fijian women are usually the ones to not understand a lot. In the years 2000-2004, a poll was made to find the precent of Fijians who cannot read or write while understanding what they are doing. The result was that 9% of women can not read or write. This result isnt to bad, but this is a problem becuase we don't want the women to be left behind without understanding how to read or write. Thats just teribble! These are the reason that illiteracy is a problem in Fiji.

All Fijians are capable of talking, but they dont want to learn the basic reading and writing skills. The finale reason is, that Fijians are able to learn, yet they dint want to, this will reflect them and their family. If you couldnt read or write in a basic manner, then people would probably think things like "...poor thing, it cant even write a simple sentence..." or even " ...what an idiot! He/She cant even read a picture book correctly!" This would be really embarising. Your family would also be thought of like that. It is becuase you couoldnt read or write. These are the reasons why illiteracy is such a big problem in Fiji.
